Detailed planning and reliable crews kept nationwide project on schedule, despite Superstorm Sandy.
PRIME RETAIL SERVICES manages retail fixture installations and upgrades for one of the world’s largest and most successful retailers. According to Senior Director of Operations, MACK TURNER, one of their biggest challenges is making sure merchandise is back on the shelves and shoppable each morning.
100 STORES IN FIVE WEEKS
A typical retail fixture project for Prime is the recent installation of a new Apple display in the electronics department of 100 retail stores across the U.S. MTG was selected to complete the low-voltage work. The installation was completed over a 5-week schedule.
ACCURATE ESTIMATES, DETAILED PLANNING
The Prime team worked closely with MTG engineers and project managers to develop a phased plan to keep everything on track. MTG provided accurate estimates of how long each task would take, which Turner says were used to make Prime’s bids tighter and more competitive.
“THE BEST” PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Crews were in each location for two nights. “Their project management is the best we’ve found. They make sure their local partners get the plans well in advance and know exactly what’s expected,” says Turner. “We know their crews will always arrive ready to start the work.”
ON SCHEDULE IN SUPERSTORM SANDY
Work on the east coast took place as “Superstorm Sandy” was causing widespread damage to homes, roads, businesses, and infrastructure. Although many of MTG’s Local Service Partners' lives and homes were seriously impacted, the project remained on schedule with minimal disruptions.
