During the recent IACLEA (International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators) conference in Hinckley digital signage was a hot security topic.

Many participants were curious about how to integrate digital video content with existing emergency notification systems in order to deliver lifesaving information in seconds.

Sharing Lifesaving Information on Campus

Due in part to tragedies such as Virginia Tech, Northern Illinois University, and Sandy Hook – many educational institutions are improving their systems for sharing “live” situational emergency information with stakeholders on and off campus.

According to Jesse Cashman, IACLEA member and Assistant VP of Public Safety and Risk Management at Minnesota State St. Cloud, "Finding ways to enhance emergency notification and increase response time to these emergencies is critically important to campus environments."

MTG is committed to helping keep your campus safe. In many cases, adding digital signage to existing systems can result in significant and cost-effective improvements in reach, dissemination, and clarity of emergency messages.
